Federal face-mask mandate is in effect.

In accordance with the federal face-mask mandate, effective Feb. 1, 2021, individuals riding in or operating a BeST Transit vehicle, entering a BeST Transit facility, or waiting on BeST Transit property to board a vehicle, including BeST Transit bus stops, MUST wear a face mask at all times. Refusing to wear a mask is a violation of federal law, which can lead to penalties under the law, as well as ride denial.

Masks must properly cover both the nose and mouth. Face shields and face coverings, such as a bandana or handkerchief, do not qualify as a face mask. Prolonged periods of mask removal for the purpose of eating, drinking or smoking are not permitted. Children under the age of 2 are exempt from wearing a mask.

Your full cooperation and adherence to this mandate is legally required.

BeST Transit’s is committed to providing a safe environment for its passengers, drivers and employees.

Operating during a pandemic is no small task for anyone.

BeST Transit vehicles are cleaned inside daily with proper disinfectants. Touch points are cleaned several times a day, as well.

BeST also ask passengers to follow and maintain the following guidelines:

  • Maintain a safe distance of 6 feet or more from others when waiting for a bus, boarding, or riding any BeST Transit vehicle.
  • Wash hands or use sanitizer frequently throughout the day.
  • Wear a face mask or covering at all times.
